Keiran sleeps through another "first". I took him out with Gma Susan and Jules to the Wisconsin Dells to celebrate his 3 week birthday. We cruised the strip and ate lunch at The Sandbar (where locals get marooned!). A creepy old mini putt-putt employee thought he was a doll. Umm...OK? Then we ran some errands. I bought some clothes to accommodate my breastfeeding boobs and post-partum booty before heading back to the lake and Keiran barely woke up for any of it. He's one easy baby boy. :-)

Other milestones to note....his umbilical cord fell off late last night and he seems to be much more alert. I feel like his vision has made an improvement (early mornings he seems to just look around with wide-eyed amazement like he's seeing things for the first time). Yay!

I don't think I can post more than 1 picture at once from my phone...so here is a string of them.

Day 18

Today was a big day for the kiddo. We went on a 2.5 mile walk (my longest walk since the delivery) and a boat ride! We may have pushed it a little long with the boat ride. He did great the whole time until we we were almost back to the dock. I realized once we were back that we were gone for 3 hours. Tip for other new parents...don't wait until you're already out to apply the sunblock. Newbies' skin are so sensitive and as Keiran didn't get sunburned, last night I thought he did. Turns out I think he was just over heated....which lead to a rough bedtime. All in all, it was a good day.

Keiran is definitely living life early on. :) We want him to be one well-adjusted and flexible little Guy. Cool Guy. CG, as his grandpa was calling him yesterday.
